Fruitful family history
Neil Handasyde has a rich history in fruit growing. Immersed in growing since he was a child, he went out on his own in 1991, buying his first strawberry farm on Greatrex Road in King River.
In 2018, Lyn and Neil bought the current farm on Chester Pass Road. With plenty of space and an on-site shop, they knew it was something special.
Since then, Lyn and Neil have been working hard each day — creating a truly unique experience for locals and visitors to Albany WA.

Sustainability
Sustainability and waste reduction are part of everything we do at Handasyde’s.
Lyn sources ingredients and packaging mindfully. That means she’s always on the hunt for environmentally-friendly suppliers, preferring local businesses that offer recyclable packaging and the environmental benefits of reduced transport.
Preserving and freeze drying fruit means we get the absolute most out of each harvest, and what’s left gets composted into nutrient-rich soil for next year.
As a family-owned business, caring for the earth matters to us, every day. And keeping rubbish out of landfill as much as possible will secure a brighter future for our family and yours.
